At the end of last year we shared our commitment to ending male violence against women, and STAR Housing became ‘White Ribbon’ acredited.

White Ribbon is a global campaign that encourages people - especially men and boys - to act both individually and collectively to change the behaviour and culture that leads to abuse and violence. To wear a white ribbon is to promise to never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

As part of our commitment, we will continue to raise money for White Ribbon, and discuss the ways in which we can support men and change existing cultures that lead to violence and abuse against women.

White Ribbon Day is on November 25th, and you can learn more about what White Ribbon does here.
