On 13th October 2025, STAR Housing welcomed guests, staff, and community partners to our Annual General Meeting at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. The event was a celebration of our achievements, a reflection on the year’s progress, and a moment to honour the people who make STAR Housing what it is.
We were delighted to welcome Louise Holt, Head of Membership Services TPAS, as our keynote speaker. Louise spoke passionately about the importance of tenant-led scrutiny, sharing insights from TPAS’s national work on empowering tenants to shape housing services through meaningful engagement.
Our second guest speakers were Wendy Dowley and Maggie Ward-Ellis, winners of this year’s Garden Competition. They shared heartfelt stories about how gardening has supported their mental health and wellbeing, inspiring many in the room with their personal journeys and beautiful green spaces.
We were also proud to premiere our Annual Report video, showcasing the key milestones, stories, and successes from the past year. The video highlighted the impact of our work across communities and featured voices from tenants, staff, and partners. It was a powerful way to reflect on our journey and set the tone for the year ahead.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the AGM a success. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together and excited for the year ahead.
