The Big Check In Steps Up From Tomorrow

This week, we’ve already been out and about meeting customers through a series of Big Check In drop-in events and doorstep visits.

From tomorrow, The Big Check In moves into its busiest phase, with colleagues from across STAR Housing coming together to help us speak to customers in every STAR Housing home.

The Big Check In is all about checking in with our customers. It’s a chance for us to catch up, make sure we have the right contact information, understand whether customers are happy with the services they receive and identify where we can help or provide support.

To make The Big Check In possible, STAR Housing offices will be closed on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 July while staff carry out customer visits and contact activities. Responses to emails and non-urgent enquiries will be delayed during this time. We’ll return to normal service on Monday 13 July.

Customers can still access housing information, online services and non-urgent repair reporting through our website at www.starhousing.org.uk. If you need to report an emergency repair, please call 03333 212200.

Very hot weather is forecast for Thursday and Friday, so we’ve made some changes to help keep both customers and colleagues safe. While many visits will still take place in person, some members of our team will also be contacting customers by telephone.

This means that if you’re not at home when we visit, or if we’re unable to knock on your door because of the weather conditions, you may receive a call from a member of the STAR Housing team instead.

During your Big Check In visit, we’ll also ask whether you’d like to take part in a short survey about how STAR Housing communicates with customers. We want to understand the best ways to keep people informed and make sure important information reaches them in a way that works for them.

Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher.

If you’re not at home when we call, we’ll leave details explaining how you can complete the survey online and still be entered into the draw.

If we don’t manage to speak to you during The Big Check In, we’ll continue looking for opportunities to make contact afterwards. We want every customer to have the chance to have their say.

We look forward to speaking with customers over the coming days and hearing their feedback.
