How We Buy Goods and Services

We’re committed to delivering great value for our customers. That means making sure our procurement processes are open, fair, and transparent.

We follow the Procurement Act 2023 regulations.
Our approach is tailored depending on the size and scope of each project.
For smaller contracts, we will request quotes directly from suppliers.
For larger projects, we run formal tenders and may use framework agreements that have already been competitively tendered.

At STAR Housing, we seek external support to help us deliver our services to our residents. We procure goods, services, and works by requests for proposals or quotations, or by issuing competitive tenders in line with UK government policy and all relevant legal requirements.

How does procurement work at STAR

When we start a new project, we first define what is needed and then invite suppliers to tender.

Finding Opportunities

Opportunities are published on the Central Digital Platform. You can register at www.find-tender.gov.uk to find out more.

We also use myTenders, a secure online portal for managing procurement.
