The Big Check In is back!
From the week beginning Monday 6 July, we’ll be visiting customers across our neighbourhoods to check in, listen, and learn how we can improve our services.
Through short doorstep conversations, our friendly STAR Housing team will be speaking with customers about how things are going in your home and what matters most to you.
What is The Big Check In?
The Big Check In is how we speak directly with our customers by coming to your door and having a short conversation.
Our aim is to speak to all customers, giving everyone the chance to share their views, ask questions, and tell us about their experience of STAR Housing.
It’s an opportunity for you to:
- Tell us how things are going in your home
- Raise any questions or concerns
- Check and update your contact details
- Let us know how we can communicate better with you
Why are we doing this?
We want to make sure our services are working well for you and understand where we can improve.
By speaking with customers face to face, we can listen to what matters most, learn from your experiences, and use your feedback to help shape our services.
What will happen when we visit?
- A STAR Housing colleague will knock on your door
- We’ll say hello and ask how you’re getting on
- We’ll check that we have your contact details correct
- We’ll explain any relevant services or support available
All staff will be wearing visible STAR Housing identification, so you can easily recognise us.
Is this a compulsory visit?
No. Taking part in The Big Check In is not compulsory.
If you’re not at home when we visit, we’ll leave a postcard through your letterbox. This will include a link showing you how you can share your views online instead.
When is The Big Check In happening?
- Week commencing Monday 6 July 2026
- Most doorstep visits taking place on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 July
We won’t be sending exact visit times and will be visiting throughout the week.
