You Said We did

This is our way of showing how your feedback makes a difference. We listen to what matters to you, learn from your views, and use that insight to shape the services we provide.

Digital and Service Improvements

Your feedback guided the development of our new Tenant Portal, updates to our repairs policy, clearer service charge information, and our new self-service website.

Current Work

We’re continuing to act on your feedback. The STAR Customer Scrutiny Panel has started its latest review, focusing on improving satisfaction with communal areas, a priority identified through Tenant Satisfaction Measures. While scores have improved year-on-year, we want to do even better.

The review will explore:

  • Residents’ views on the look and feel of internal communal areas and external bin stores (excluding grounds maintenance).
  • Comparisons across STAR Housing properties.
  • Expectations for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Key priorities for communal spaces.
  • Accessibility and health & safety considerations.

These projects help build stronger neighbourhoods and better places to live, and they all started with a simple idea from a resident.

How our Customer Scrutiny Panel members will get involved:

  • Visiting sites with STAR Housing’s Neighbourhood Housing Officers to inspect communal areas
  • Reviewing policies
  • Meeting STAR Housing’s Heads of Service
  • Attending best practice research sessions
