At STAR Housing, we’re committed to building much-needed affordable homes in the right places, homes that meet the needs of local people and help strengthen communities across Shropshire.
We work with our sister company, Cornovii Homes, established by Shropshire Council, to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes across the county. Together, we create thoughtfully designed spaces where people can thrive, well-connected to where they live, work, and spend time.
Combining the reassurance of public sector values with the flexibility of a commercial developer, we deliver a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes to suit a wide range of needs and lifestyles.

Thoughtfully Designed Developments
Our homes are built to be energy-efficient, modern, and comfortable. Every development is carefully planned to include the facilities and features that residents value most.
Before we submit planning applications, we hold pre-planning consultation events to hear from neighbours, councillors, and other stakeholders. This feedback helps us shape developments that truly reflect local needs.
We also work closely with communities through Community Led Schemes, ensuring that local voices help guide what we build and where.

What we build
We typically build homes for Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership (via our sister company, Cornovii Homes).
Our first phase of building delivered 68 homes in 2015. By the end of 2025 we will have built 162 new affordable homes, and by the end of 2026, we aim to have completed a further 41 homes across 3 sites.
We also purchase homes from other developer partners to expand our offering.
