  • Can assist with rent-in-advance and bond schemes.

While STAR Housing is here to support you, there are also other organisations in Shropshire offering specialist housing and emergency accommodation services:

SASH (Shropshire Association for Supported Housing)

  • Offers supported housing for adults with mental health needs.
  • Helps people live independently with gentle, non-intrusive support.

Be-You Housing 

  • Provides housing for people with autism, learning disabilities, or mental health challenges.
  • Offers both shared and self-contained accommodation.

Shropshire Housing Alliance

  • Offers housing advice and bedsit schemes for young people
  • Supports those at risk of homelessness

How Shropshire Council can help

If you’re homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, Shropshire Council is responsible for supporting you.

If the Council agrees that you are homeless and in priority need, they will provide you with temporary accommodation while they work with you to find a permanent housing solution.
