We are pleased to confirm that Alveley Community Centre will soon be home to Post Office services, following the closure of Alveley Post Office in May 2017.

We’ve been working with the Post Office since then and in June 2017 we offered them our carpark in Arden Way as a base for their temporary mobile outreach service – giving them time to come up with a more permanent solution.

The new service will start on Tuesday 9th January 2018 and will be available every Tuesday and Thursday between midday and 2pm.

Nigel Wilson, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing’s Senior Community Support Services Officer, said:

“We know how important post office services are to people in the area, which is why we were pleased to be able to offer our carpark as a base for the mobile service.

“It’s even better now as we were able to offer our community room as a permanent base for the service.

“This simple solution will mean that our customers and the wider community can continue to access the services they need, where they live.”

The current mobile outreach service in Arden Way carpark will continue until this new service is in place. This is available every Tuesday between 11.45am and 12.45pm.
