Welcome to Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing

Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing

On 1 April 2013, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing Ltd took responsibility for the management of all 4200 Shropshire Council owned homes in the Oswestry & Bridgnorth areas. We now provide all housing management services to council tenants, including all work to repair, maintain and improve. This also includes garage tenancies and leaseholders.

Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing (STAR Housing) is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO), which means that Shropshire Council retains the ownership of the housing stock, controls the allocations policy and retains the homelessness duty but STAR Housing manage and improve the housing service provided to tenants.

ST and R Housing is managed by a board of directors made up of tenants, independents, council representatives and a staff member.

Please keep your communal areas clear

If you live in a building where you share communal areas with other residents, you must make sure that you keep them clear of clutter and rubbish.

Taking fire safety seriously

Following on from the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in London, we would like to reassure tenants that their health and safety is really important to us.
