New Build Affordable Homes

As part our business objective we are committed to building new affordable homes;
Speller Metcalfe have built 2 x 1 bedroomed affordable rent bungalows in Brynmelyn, Llynclys. These homes were completed in August 2018.
Harper Group have completed the following homes; College Road, Oswestry (4 x 1 bed affordable rent flats) and Gower Place, Oswestry (3 x 2 bed shared ownership bungalows). These were completed in December 2017. They are continuing to build 4 x 2 bed shared ownership houses in Fernhill Lane, Gobowen which should be ready February 2018.
In addition to the above, work started in July 2017 at Ash Grove, Albrighton (3 x 2 bed shared ownership houses) and Pitchford Road, Albrighton 2 x 2 bed affordable rent bungalows). These new homes will be complete in Spring 2018.
Phase 3 New Homes Programme
Our Phase 3 new build homes programme was started by Harper Group in December 2016 and completed in Autumn 2017. This phase encompasses a site of 3 affordable rent, 2 bed houses in Church Road, Alveley and 2 affordable rent, 2 bed bungalows in Drayton Road, Shifnal. These sites are part-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and Section 106 funds.
Phase 2 New Homes Programme
Our Phase 2 new build homes programme is now complete and our sites at Unicorn Road (4 x 2 bed bungalows), Maple Avenue (4 x 1 bed flats), Wat’s Drive, Oswestry (2 x 2 bed houses) and Mount Bradford Lane, St Martins (2 x 2 bed bungalows) are now occupied. Construction has been part funded by a mix of Homes and Communities Agency grants, market sale and shared ownership sales.
Our St Peter's View, Rhea Hall, Highley development was completed in January 2017. This development consists of 17 x 1, 2 & 3 bed bungalows and is a mixture of affordable rent, shared ownership and open market sale.
Phase 1 New Homes Programme
We have now successfully completed our Phase 1 new homes programme, and have built 68 new homes in the County. This programme included a mixture of affordable rent and shared ownership homes and was part-funded through a partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Section 106 funds.
